  Blest Jesus, source of grace divine, What soul-refreshing streams are Thine, O bring these healing waters nigh, Or we must droop, and fall, and die. No traveler through desert lands, ’Midst scorching suns and burning sands, More needs the current to obtain, Or to enjoy refreshing rain. Our longing souls aloud would sing, Spring up, celestial fountain, spring; To an abundant river flow, And cheer this thirsty land below. May this blest river near my side Through all the desert gently glide; Then in Immanuel’s land above, Spread to a sea of joy and love.

  There flows from Calvary a stream For every sinner’s pain, And he that drinketh, Jesus said, Shall never thirst again. Refrain What! never thirst again? No, never thirst again; What! never thirst again? No, never thirst again, For he that drinketh, Jesus said, Shall never, never thirst again. Earth’s fountains fair but mock our souls, Like desert phantoms lure, And they that drink, the fainter grow, The keener thirst endure. • [Yoh 7:37] Fountain Of Never Ceasing Grace

  Fountain of never ceasing grace, Thy saints’ exhaustless theme, Great object of immortal praise, Essentially supreme; We bless Thee for the glorious fruits Thine incarnation gives; The righteousness which grace imputes, And faith alone receives. Whom heaven’s angelic host adores, Was slaughtered for our sin; The guilt, O Lord was wholly ours, The punishment was Thine: Our God in the flesh, to set us free, Was manifested here; And meekly bare our sins, that we His righteousness might wear. Imputatively guilty then Our substitute was made, That we the blessings might obtain For which His blood was shed: Himself He offered on the cross, Our sorrows to remove; And all He suffered was for us, And all He did was love. In Him we have a righteousness, By God Himself approved; Our rock, our sure foundation this, Which never can be moved. Our ransom by His death He paid, For all His people giv’n, The law He perfectly obeyed, That they might enter Heav’n. As all, when Adam sinned alone, In his transgression died, So by the righteousness of One, Are sinners justified, We to Thy merit, gracious Lord, With humblest joy submit, Again to Paradise restored, In Thee alone complete. Our souls His watchful love retrieves, Nor lets them go astray, His righteousness to us He gives, And takes our sins away: We claim salvation in His right, Adopted and forgiv’n, His merit is our robe of light, His death the gate of Heav’n.

• [Yoh 7:37] Ye Thirsty For God

  Ye thirsty for God, to Jesus give ear, And take, through His blood, a power to draw near; His kind invitation ye sinners embrace, Accepting salvation, salvation by grace. Sent down from above, who governs the skies, In vehement love to sinners He cries, “Drink into My Spirit, who happy would be, And all things inherit by coming to Me.” O Savior of all, Thy Word we believe! And come at Thy call, Thy grace to receive; The blessing is given wherever Thou art. The earnest of Heaven is love in the heart. To us at Thy feet the Comforter give, Who gasp to admit Thy Spirit, and live; The weakest believers acknowledge for Thine, And fill us with rivers of water divine.
